Ben Savage is a 14 year old who attends Cronulla High school and he was recently diagnosed with Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma in his pelvis and hip.
At the present moment, he is in hospital going through chemotherapy. Ben’s school mates would like to raise enough money to help his family with medical expenses and to purchase a small “tinny” boat to enjoy when he is well enough to use it. Any left over money will be given to a Children’s Cancer Charity that the family would like to help support. Next week Ben’s year 9 school friends will be shaving their heads in support of Ben, who is beginning to lose his hair due to the effects of the chemotherapy.
It would mean a lot to Ben’s mates to be able to support and be of assistance to Ben and his family and his mates would be extremely grateful for any donation.
In addition, Annie Flack (RSL under 11 player and Sydney South U11 girls rep player) who is in year 4 at Cronulla South Public School will also be shaving her head. Annie’s best friend is Ben’s sister and Annie wants to support them.
