The Sydney South Hockey Association is looking to enter teams into the HNSW indoor state championships for all girls, boys, womens and mens age groups in the 2015/2016 season. Trials for the junior teams will be run on 16 and 23 August.
We are currently seeking expressions of interest from players and coaches to determine how many teams we can seek to enter in each age group. Expressions of interest should be forwarded to Janice Tully (competitions@sydneysouthhockey.com.au) and Justine Maroney (ssharepconvenor@gmail.com ) by 5pm on 24 July 2015. This is an expression of interest only. Dates for state championships are set out below.
We are also seeking to again run a junior mixed indoor competition in term 4 at Port Hacking High School from 4pm – 7.30pm on Thursday afternoons. Would clubs/players please forward an expression of interest for the indoor competition to Janice Tully by 5pm on 31 July 2015. We are looking at upper primary school and high school aged indoor players.
The state championship dates are as follows:
· U15 Boys – 9 – 11 October 2015, Central Coast Youth Club, 19 Washington Ave, Niagara Park (including Friday day or evening games, concluding Sunday morning)
· U15 Girls 10 – 12 October 2015, Central Coast Youth Club, 19 Washington Ave, Niagara Park (commencing Saturday afternoon and including Monday games)
· Open Women – 16 – 18 October, Illawarra Credit Union Hockey Stadium, Unanderra (including Friday day or evening games)
· Open Men – 23 – 25 October, Illawarra Credit Union Hockey Stadium, Unanderra (including Friday day or evening games)
· U13 Boys – 30 October 2015 – 1 November 2015, Central Coast Youth Club, 19 Washington Ave, Niagara Park (including Friday day or evening games, concluding Sunday morning)
· U13 Girls – 31 October 2015 – 2 November 2015, Central Coast Youth Club, 19 Washington Ave, Niagara Park (commencing Saturday afternoon and including Monday games)
· U18 Girls – 6 – 8 November 2015, Illawarra Credit Union Hockey Stadium, Unanderra (including Friday day or evening games)
