Sydney South Hockey is going to be running a Level 1 coaching course for all clubs and their coaches that will be conducted by our RCC Andrew Van Pelt. It consists of online, theoretical and practical components.
The Level 1 Coach Training Program is designed to train coaches in the fundamental concepts of coaching including group management and organisation, developing effective training sessions, performing the role of match day coach and ensuring the safety and enjoyment of players. The program is directed towards teachers, parents, players and coaches who are involved in coaching modified versions of the game or beginner level club hockey.
The course will be run on the following dates
Theory:
- Monday 16th March 7pm @ SDHC Clubhouse
Practical
- Sunday 29th March 4pm @ SDHC Synthetic Field
Online:
- To be completed before the course at The HockeyEd Website
Each section of the course must be completed to be accredited as a Level 1 Coach. Those interested in attending should notify their clubs as soon as possible.
